You’re not going to believe this…
Chiropractic care was talked about on a popular iPhone application.
People were asked to vote and share their feelings about chiropractic. You’ve got to see this.
I took a snapshot of the results and video’d it for you. Pay attention to what 55% of voters said about chiropractic. It’s VERY instructive and eye-opening.

Hi Todd.
I don’t know. I think you may be off on this one. I mean, if I sell bicycles and find out that 14% of my community are bicycle enthusiasts and 55% don’t ride bikes and don’t feel they need to (even though studies show how great it is as exercise, stress reduction, and overall well-being), I think I would want to market to the 14%. Personally I don’t need a psychiatrist (though some of my family and friends would argue that), and no amount of “education” or marketing going to get me to go to one. I don’t care what the little voices in my head say.
Before seeing my first chiropractor, I was one of the 6% “Who?” group and went with a friend to heer chiropractor just out of curiousity. I got so turned on I decided to become one. Maybe we could concentrate on the 6%. What do you think?
Hey Dr. Rich… thanks for the comment.
Look at it like this…
If you were selling bicycles, you would certainly want to market to the 14% in your community who were already existing bicycle enthusiasts. That’s a given.
However, you would also want to identify and market to the the individuals in the other 86% who are out of shape, really want to get healthier through exercise, but aren’t quite sure what’s the best choice for them (and possibly know nothing about the benefits of cycling). Of course, you would want to market to these individuals much, much differently than the way you would to the 14% enthusiasts.
Keep in mind, there’s always a segment of the marketplace that doesn’t know what they don’t know. In other words, they may have terrible headaches and constantly be on the hunt for a better over-the-counter pain killer, simply because they don’t know of any other viable solution. With the correct exposure to chiropractic (and education) they may see how much better of a choice chiropractic is for them than what they’re currently doing right now.
Hope that helps,
Todd
P.S. Just to clarify… I’m certainly NOT advocating that any chiropractor go out and try to convince the general market of the value of chiropractic. Not at all. But, what I am saying, is that there is a certain segment of the market that has a problem chiropractic can solve. Yet, they know nothing about chiropractic. Or, what they do know is totally inaccurate. With the right marketing these individuals can become chiropractic patients.
Dr. Rich, kudos for your post – made me laugh
You do have a point. Todd does have a point that there is always the segment of people who don’t know what they don’t know and chiropractors educate with the target being exactly those people… can’t give up on them just because the rest don’t want to know
Cheers,
Marina

Todd—-my bookkeeper told me we had several hundred dollars taken from our account in the lst couple days. I had authorized $19 for the one DVD—plus shipping—so—can you explain the charge to my card? My bookkeeper is all over this thing.
Also—I wanted to concentrate on the internet side of your work. Will you help me with this area.
