This Chiropractic Excuse is Officially DEAD!

Chiropractors can no longer use the excuse…

“I don’t do a lot of online marketing or office promotion because most of my patients are 50 and older… and they don’t really use the internet.”

That ship has officially sailed.

According to a brand new study from the Pew Research Center, “Social networking use among internet users ages 50 and older has nearly doubled — from 22% to 42% over the past year”.

“Older web users are flocking to social networks”, says eMarketer.com.

But, the news gets even better.

“Pew offered three reasons for social networking’s appeal to older adults:

(1) They want to reconnect with people from their past.

(2) As a gathering place for multiple generations, social networks are useful to parents for learning about the lives of their children and grandchildren.

(3) People with chronic diseases are more likely to reach out to others online, and older people are more likely to have a chronic disease.”

So, not only are older adults flocking to social networks like Facebook… they’re doing it because they want to share and receive information about their various medial conditions.

What happens, is that they engage in groups and discussions about their conditions… which makes it easy for you as a chiropractor to target them with dialed-in Facebook Advertising.

And this is why, I believe, eMarketer finished off their article by saying, “The mass appeal of Facebook is a boon in the short term for marketers…”.

Because, what this news means for you right now, is that while most chiropractors don’t have a clue about how to effectively use Facebook Advertising, you have a virtual open playing field. Especially when targeting older individuals and educating them on the power and benefit of chiropractic care for them.
