If I asked you to describe your dream chiropractic practice, could you do it?
For most chiropractors this is a question they either can’t answer or they just haven’t given it enough thought.
Problem is, just like traveling, in order to arrive at the destination of your choice you first need to know where you want to wind up.
According to author Bob Bly, “When Thomas Watson, founder of IBM, was asked to what he attributed the phenomenal success of IBM, he described three things.
First, he created a clear image in his mind of what he wanted his company to look like when it was done.”
This is the equivalent to you, as a chiropractor, of having a clear image in your mind of what the ultimate, dream practice looks like so you know where you want to take your own practice.
“Next, he [Watson] asked himself how a company like that [what he wanted his company to look like] would have to act on a day-to-day basis.”
Same with you.
Once you’ve described your ideal, perfect practice and your ultimate goal… ask yourself how an office like that would need to function on a daily basis.
That should give you a nice picture you can compare your current office actions and activities to.
“And then from the very start of building his company, he [Watson] began to act that way.”
Pretty straight forward, right?
Once you’ve determined what you want your practice to look like and how it would need to function on a daily basis, the final step is simply to make the commitment to conform to that picture immediately.
Here’s where you need to exhibit self-discipline, determination, and grit.
Once you go through this little exercise, you’ll know: where you want to go, what you need to do to get there, and what changes you need to make now to make sure you arrive safe and sound.
Go to it!
[Sidenote: Of course, traveling on the chiropractic entrepreneurial highway, if you will, is never that straight-forward or simple.
Detours, road-blocks, pot-holes, accidents, bad weather, idiot drivers, and a whole host of other obstacles are a natural and normal part of any journey.
If you want to master the chiropractic entrepreneurial skills lacking in so many chiropractors -- and holding most back from fulfilling their professional and financial potential -- I would encourage you to explore a membership in the Millionaire Chiropractic Club (MC2).
It very well might be the most no-brainer investment you can make into your practice and future.]
